Antique Linens are a wonderful way to turn an average guest bedroom into an amazing guest bedroom. I love old quilts and as you visit Harris Farm you will see many different patterns. In our new home, I chose a beautiful pink and green quilt and gorgeous embroidered pillow cases. Combine this with Laura Ashley and you have a great guest room. My mother taught me to iron by starching and ironing pillow cases. I taught my grandchild, Ansley, to do the same... She said, "Why are we doing this?". I said, "Because it looks so nice". She said again, "Why are we doing this?". I don't think she fell for the ironing is fun like I did when Mama taught me. This new generation just doesn't know what they are missing out on!!! My antique linens come from shops, estate sales and I am lucky enough to have inherited several beautiful quilts. Nothing feels better than a gently worn hand made quilt. It's nice to go in the guest room and enjoy a good book. A friend spent the night and woke up in the guest bedroom on Mother's Day. She said it was wonderful. Beautiful linens and beautiful memories of the work women before us took so much pride in.
