When time comes to make Christmas memories we use "life" memories to make our favorite tree. In the early fall start finding items that belonged to special people in your life. Like your Granny's house slippers, or your mom's glasses or your dad's favorite fishing hat. Using old Christmas cards cut out a hole in the card and make a frame. Place a photo of a favorite person who has gone "home" in the card frame and along with one of the items you have found of theirs decorate a memory tree. We will show you the technique for decorating it soon. My favorite tree has my Granny's snuff can and my mother in laws house slippers on it. It also has a picture of my sweet husband. My daughter Angela has 48 trees in her house and this is everyones favorite. Each year if we lose a family member they are added to the memory tree. A really great year is when we have no one to ad.

Start a memory box early in the year and then when decorating time nears you are ahead of the game.
